Install RedPing SOS and RedPing SAR
Beta reviewers should install both app variants when testing responder workflows.
RedPing SOS and RedPing SAR are separate mobile app variants. SAR, RedPing Help, and dashboard write actions require the RedPing SAR app (Pro minimum) and remain blocked inside RedPing SOS even on Pro or Family admin.
- RedPing SOS — personal safety, Manual SOS, contacts, Track Me (Pro / Family admin), and CarPlay / Watch companions.
- RedPing SAR — responder visibility, Help workflows, and dashboard write actions (Pro minimum, separate install).
- Beta feedback is most useful when both apps are installed on supported iOS 14+ or Android 8+ devices.
RedPing Family Seat Rules
Household beta participants should understand how Family entitlements split across seats.
- RedPing Family bundles one Pro admin seat with three Essential+ household seats (four accounts total).
- The admin Pro seat unlocks SAR app access, RedPing Help, and Track Me on RedPing SOS; invited Essential+ seats do not inherit those Pro workflows.
- Essential+ household seats receive Family Check-In Ping and continuous-protection features, not the admin SAR dashboard seat.
- SAR and Help still require the RedPing SAR app on the Pro admin device — they remain blocked inside RedPing SOS.
