Quick start guide to REDP!NG safety platform
REDP!NG is a safety communication platform with two mobile app variants aligned to build 1.0.2 (48): RedPing SOS for emergency activation and passive protection, and RedPing SAR for responder workflows on Pro and above.
RedPing is an emergency communication app only. It does not replace 911, 000, or other emergency services, and it does not operate emergency rescue services. If you have an emergency, call your local emergency service immediately.
RedPing SOS and RedPing SAR are separate mobile app variants. SAR, RedPing Help, and dashboard write actions require the RedPing SAR app (Pro minimum) and remain blocked inside RedPing SOS even on Pro or Family admin.
Install RedPing SOS for emergencies; install RedPing SAR if you have Pro+ responder access
Add emergency contacts (Free: 5, Essential+: 10) and medical details
Location, notifications, and motion access for SOS, ACFD Beta (Essential+), and CarPlay/Watch on SOS iOS
See pricing for the v5.0 comparison table before relying on SAR or Help workflows
Complete overview of REDP!NG's safety features
Manual SOS uses a deliberate press-and-hold flow with countdown false-alarm protection before alerts are sent. Free: 1 trigger / 24h.
Location sharing accuracy varies by device, signal, and surroundings
Automatic notification to your contacts
Illustrative offline communication concepts where supported
Guided checks that support emergency workflow review
Regional, provider, and device conditions affect service availability
How REDP!NG connects to emergency services
REDP!NG supports emergency communication and coordination workflows, but it does not provide direct emergency response, rescue services, or medical assistance. Always contact local emergency services (911, 112, etc.) directly as your primary emergency response method.
An emergency workflow can begin through manual SOS action or supported device-assisted signals
Shares available location and emergency details with configured contacts, responders, or supported services
Helps coordinate between you, your trusted contacts, and participating responder workflows
Can notify your emergency contacts based on your setup and connectivity
Response depends on local services, organization participation, device support, connectivity, and configuration
Supports coordination with local services or participating organizations where available

RedPing Help is a non-SOS assistance workflow in the RedPing SAR app (Pro minimum). It is blocked inside RedPing SOS even when the account includes Pro or Family admin.
Live SOS location and throttled breadcrumbs during active sessions — not continuous live map streaming.
Track Me is a voluntary scheduled recorder on RedPing SOS for Pro and Family admin users. It saves time or distance snapshots to the in-app track recorder — not continuous live map tracking.
Offline-safe SOS queuing and last-known location fallback on supported builds.
CarPlay and Apple Watch features mirror phone-side safety state on supported SOS iOS builds at all subscription tiers. The phone remains authority and companions do not independently dispatch emergency services.
Role-gated SAR visibility — not unrestricted public access to all active incidents.
Help or SAR missing in SOS? Expected — install RedPing SAR and verify Pro+ tier.
CarPlay or Watch not showing? Requires supported SOS iOS build, pairing, and OS version.
ACFD behaves differently on iPhone vs Android? Platform background limits differ; see Advance Crash and Fall Detection (ACFD) Beta is available on Essential+ and above.
